Brief Update On Website

Brief Update On Website
June 14, 2016 Admin

Update to our much appreciated readers-

Me, my wife, and my son have all been battling a horrific, horrific case of the flu the last few days. Regrettably this has resulted in a complete lack of posts here on ECW and I wanted to offer this brief update as means of explanation.

Hopefully we have now rounded the corner towards recovery, and just as the Black Death that devastated Europe in the Middle-Ages gave birth to the Renaissance in its aftermath, I will strive to ensure that this awful sickness is only a precursor to more and better content for this site.

Sincerely yours,

Godspeed on you and your families recovery, thanks for the update. Your site is a valuable resource on the events unfolding in Europe and the West as a whole.

Thank you for the well-wishes and (first?) comment Q. Both are much appreciated. I am starting to feel on more solid footing already.

If you are new to the site would love to hear anything about your intellectual journey and your thoughts on Europe, etc or any other feedback you might ever have!

      Thanks again!

Good to hear you’re recovering. I was wondering what had happened. ‘What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger…’

Former French Prime Minister: “If we take the view that Islam is by design incompatible, incapable of being absorbed into the Republic, well then it’s civil war”.

    War is coming.

Absolutely. My always vacillates between “won’t it just hurry and start” vs “no it can’t start too soon or I won’t be able to contribute as fully as I want!”.

Thank you for the kind words too Laguna Beach!

I know you can’t say it, but we all know u were actually in a castle on Malta meeting with the resistance preparing to retake Europe.

🙂 Well… Hopefully next June perhaps. I am hoping to set up a trip to Europe then for ‘professional’ purposes. At the least maybe I can get myself banned from some countries like Richard Spencer, or at best do at least a tiny bit of good networking, interviewing, writing, etc. Certainly as I get more and more ability (time, finances, etc) my goal is to spend as much time there as possible. I think this should be the goal for a lot of us. Whether within the belly of the beast in enemy-occupied nations such as Germany/Sweden/UK, or within Preservationist strongholds like Hungary and Poland, Nick Griffin-style.

That is Jack Donovan at his finest for sure. I had heard him talk about Junger’s work before too. I haven’t read Junger’s new book but I think it sounds great, and I also think that Donovan’s critique of it sounds absolutely spot on too. I don’t know Junger’s beliefs well enough (nor could I detect suspicion from Donovan) to determine whether Junger in his book just downplayed the more controversial conclusions one could reach from the train of thought he undertakes, or if Junger just hasn’t made those same conclusions (the ones people like me, you, and Donovan have made) re tribalism, race, modernity, etc.

Anyway fascinating piece. I think this corner of the internet/this movement/whatever you want to call it (as exemplified by the confluence of thinking inherent Donovan’s take on Junger) is at the absolute philosophical forefront of understanding humanities relationship with modernity, and the relevance of the difficulties/tragedies/implications of that. I really feel like we are all the folks in Plato’s cave who have finally realized the wall is not the daylight.
