The New English Review Profiles Our Community

The new September edition of the New English Review features an article on our community here at

Titled “Julian Langness’ Fraternity Of Combat”, the piece is written by an individual named Dexter Van Zile. Zile is a relatively well-known writer, and is the official ‘Christian Media Analyst’ for the also relatively well-known Committee for Accuracy in Middle-East Reporting (CAMERA).

The Article

Van Zile’s profile covers me, my book Fistfights With Muslims In Europe: One Man’s Journey Through Modernity, and especially this website and our community of like-minded individuals. You can read it here:’_Fraternity_of_Combat/

It is very interesting and multifaceted, but on the whole I think it can fairly be described as critical yet sympathetic. The author, who I think most would fairly call as Christian-Zionist, says that its too bad I am not a pastor in Middle-America and that if I was I might even have a ‘Megachurch” in my future (lol). Instead, it explains, I- and those of you who read this site- have embraced all the same evils that lead invariably towards fascism. However, Van Zile concludes, Progressivism is so crazy and the modern West so filled with White self-hatred that its easy to see how we wound up in this tragic ideological backwater.

The article states that I am “not a very deep thinker” and that my writing is “derivative”. It also characterizes a lot of the themes of my book as “appalling”, yet its hard to get too defensive about the article. The outrage at all the ‘fashyness’ as some would call it seems pretty forced, and Van Zile himself has to acknowledge that my criticisms of Progressivism are entirely valid.

If I really wanted to get into the trenches and try to argue back on this stuff I might point out that all the positions vis a vis Europe I articulate that Van Zile calls “appalling” and says are “from the devil”- ideas such as “the primacy of the group”; a “sense of crisis”; a sense of “victimization”; romanticization of heritage; the Mannerbunde; and what Germans now call “Völkishness” (love of one’s people)- are all things equally embodied by the State of Israel (who Van Zile is a big supporter of), but as I said its not that critical an article and is actually a very fun read.

Also, to point out the obvious, none of us wish for a war in Europe in a vacuum, we all jut recognize that it is the least horrible alternative out of a set of really horrible alternatives. We would all prefer that Progressivism had never risen up after WWII to foment the destruction and enslavement of our ancestral lands. It did though, and as a result we are stuck with the horrific set of possible courses we have today. I am proud to have such a strong community of readers/brothers/commenters who recognize this truth, and who understand the need for a Reconquest.

Editor’s Note: Fistfights With Muslims In Europe: One Man’s Journey Through Modernity continues to sell extremely well. This is great as it means more and more people are getting exposed to the reality of the situation in Europe. As always, if you would like to help this site and help spread knowledge of the situation in Europe, there is nothing more helpful you can do than to leave a review of the book on Amazon. Just click here to do so and then select ‘Leave A Review’.

I read the article. Van Zile presumes a position of moral superiority. No sense arguing with him. He’s going to get run over by reality at some point. His ‘American civil society’ won’t remain civil of all too long. He and his group are coming increasingly irrelevant.

    But, hey, there’s a mega-church in your future 🙂

I just read the piece in question. Shallow, snarky, and condescending, it misses the target by a mile. Hey, but at least it’s free publicity! And anyway, he and his kind are on the way out.

You sound like a much deeper thinker than he appears to be. I’ll have to read your book soon.

Yes please do YesPasaran- the ebook is out now obviously but the physical should be coming soon. Also have just decided to release small book of essays from this site as an ebook, to try to reach additional people re: Europe, etc.

Very interesting read Dashui. There are a number of valuable items in it but one that kind of stuck out to me was the idea of Western countries fighting against terrorists, or in whatever fashion, for space, whether the Islamists/terrorists fight focused more on time. Obviously that is just another dimension of the 4GW vs 3GW stuff we already talk about to some extent, but I never really heard it put that clearly or thought about it quite like that before. Great link.

Joking aside, we need a more militaristic religion like the Knights Templar, or Teutonic Knights. Every Western religion has become so cucked that they are virtually useless, and morally bankrupt.

Hey Rick- I hear ya. It is a difficult question because I know I do run into people within our movement/with our same viewpoints, who are able to draw immense power through Christian belief/Christ/however you want to describe it, and for whom such beliefs inspire the same overwhelming/animating passions we feel about Europe and the situation there. Their Christian faith seems to perfectly combine with their beliefs on our people and heritage and Europe, etc. That is not the same for me though. I certainly have no ill will whatsoever to them, and wish that their combination of beliefs were more prevalent, but overall despite how inspiring they are to me, I still think- and thus agree with you- that the impetus will have to come from somewhere else. Very complicated stuff and fascinating discussion. Sort of dovetails with a post I am going to try to put up soon. Would love your thoughts on it once I do.
